ShopOne Welcomes ALDI at Oak Park Commons in South Plainfield, New Jersey
NEW YORK, December 16, 2020 – ShopOne Centers REIT Inc. (“ShopOne” or the “Company”), a leading owner, operator and manager of high-quality, grocery-anchored shopping centers, is pleased to announce that ALDI, one of America’s fastest growing grocers, has opened a 25,000 square foot location at Oak Park Commons in South Plainfield, New Jersey. The space was previously occupied by ACME.
ALDI’s new location is intended to provide customers with greater optionality and convenience, including curbside pickup, which will be available in February 2021. Highlights of the new store include: an expanded product offering, a spacious layout, a modern design, open ceilings, natural lighting and environmentally friendly building materials.

The ALDI location at Oak Park Commons is part of ALDI Inc.’s $1.6 billion remodel program launched in 2017 to provide customers with a modern and convenient shopping experience. The new design includes a renewed focus on fresh items, including more robust produce, dairy and bakery sections. ALDI serves more than 40 million customers each month at its more than 2,000 store nationwide.
