ShopOne Experiences Strong Leasing Momentum at The Trails Shopping Center Ormond Beach, FL

NEW YORK – March 28, 2022 – ShopOne Centers REIT Inc. (“ShopOne”), a fully integrated U.S. grocery-anchored shopping center investment, management and operating platform, is pleased to announce that it has signed 15,567 square feet in new leases with a diverse mix of national, regional and local retailers at The Trails shopping center Ormond Beach, FL. This strong activity brings the property to 98 percent leased.

The list of new retailers that will soon call The Trails home includes fast-casual restaurant chain Huey Magoo’s and Massage Envy, the nation’s No. 1 provider of massage and skin care services, which will soon open their doors to the public. Fuzion Indoor Play, an indoor playground featuring over 4,000 square feet of fun, is scheduled to open this spring, while Keke’s Breakfast Café and Premier Martial Arts will be ready to welcome customers in the summer. Moreover, local retailer Pepper’s Boutique recently converted its temporary lease into a long-term one.

“We are pleased to add these vibrant and growing tenants to the merchandising mix at The Trails,” said Mike Makinen, ShopOne’s Chief Operating Officer. “This impressive leasing momentum is a direct outcome of the investments we’ve made in the center and the quality of our leasing team. We are glad to offer local residents the types of stores and restaurants that meet their needs.”

This leasing success has been driven by the strategic addition of a 48,000 square foot Publix store that opened at The Trails in December 2020 and ShopOne’s capital improvement plan, which has significantly enhanced the property’s aesthetics and appeal. The plan saw improvements made to the Mediterranean-themed shopping center’s façade, landscaping, signage and parking lot. It also included the installation of LED lighting throughout the property.

In addition to the aforementioned retailers, The Trails boasts other category-leading brands in Talbots, White House | Black Market, and Chico’s. The shopping center is located at the intersection of N. Nova Road and Main Trail in a market that has an average household income of $70,671 within a 5-mile radius.
